VOLUNTEER TO BE A HOST COUPLEVolunteer host couples play a valuable role in creating a restful and restorative environment for each Kerith Creek retreat by providing for the practical needs of our guests. They typically have the gift of hospitality and have a heart to care for others. Like bringing a cup of cold water to those who are thirsty, being a host couple is a rewarding experience of caring for couples and ministry leaders who are often exhausted or discouraged. At Kerith Creek, host couples present a warm and affirming presence and are responsible for welcoming retreat participants, preparing meals, running errands and performing light housekeeping duties. Each host couple is responsible for their own travel to Kerith Creek. During the full week, we provide meals and a place to stay in the retreat centre. Typically, host couples arrive the day before a retreat and leave the day after it ends. Depending on schedule availability, host couples are welcome to stay an extra couple days to enjoy the quiet surroundings and local tourist attractions. OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIESKerith Creek relies on volunteers in order to operate. If you would like to donate a few hours or even a few days, your efforts will greatly bless the guests. For those who travel from a distance, we can often provide accommodations while you volunteer your time with us. Some needs are:
We also welcome small groups or youth groups to volunteer at Kerith Creek. If you are interested in volunteering, we welcome you to contact us. |
